Your role

The selected candidate will join the new Systems and Network Security Group led by Prof. Vincent Lenders. The person will contribute to cutting-edge research in cybersecurity for critical infrastructures and perform the following tasks:

  • Research: Lead scientific research projects that aim at improving the security of critical infrastructure against cyber threats on problems related to network security, IoT security, AI agents, security automation, vulnerability discovery or human factors
  • Technology transfer: Work with industrial and governmental partners to transfer the group's research results into functional prototypes and technology demonstrators for uses cases in the field of satellite systems, vehicular networks, smart cities, and others
  • Education: Contribute in the teaching activities of the University's Cybersecurity Master program and supervise the scientific research of PhD/Master students
  • Dissemination: Present your research results at scientific conferences, journals and technology events

Your profile

  • A PhD degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.
  • Experience in security research and/or engineering
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish will be appreciated but is not a requirement to apply
