Your Responsibilities

  • Completing the development agreement with objectives in teaching, research and in the area of intra-university involvement
  • Independent teaching of courses with an average of four weekly semester hours as well as participation in teaching and examination tasks of the Center for Psychotherapy at the University of Graz
  • Participation in the conception of new academic teaching methods and courses
  • Collaboration in the psychotherapeutic teaching and research outpatient clinic
  • Student support and supervision
  • Independent research and publication activities in the field of psychotherapy and interdisciplinary research approaches
  • Participation in the acquisition of third-party funded projects and in existing research projects at the Department of Psychotherapy and Psychotherapy Research (CBT)
  • Providing content-related and administrative support for the department’s publication projects, implementation of conferences and research projects
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
  • Collaboration in the organisation of the Centre for Psychotherapy at the University of Graz, in particular scientific communication and public relations

Your Profile

  • Completed master’s degree or diploma in psychotherapy science or a related discipline, such as psychology, education, philosophy, theology, teacher education, sociology or social work, or a completed doctoral degree in human medicine
  • Completed doctorate or PhD in one of the disciplines listed above (desirable)
  • Completed psychotherapy training in cognitive behavioral therapy; preferably at least five years of registration in the Austrian list of psychotherapists
  • Experience in teaching at university level and/or in the context of psychotherapy training
  • Qualification as a teaching therapist in cognitive behavioral therapy (desirable)
  • Psychotherapeutic experience in the context of psychiatry and/or social psychiatry with children and adolescents, adults and/or older people (desirable)
  • Experience in cognitive behavioral and/or disorder-specific psychotherapeutic diagnostics
  • Advanced expertise in psychotherapeutic diagnostics (desirable)
  • Commitment to developing innovative teaching and research projects
  • Competence in organizing scientific events and contributing to the acquisition of third-party funding (desirable)
  • Evidence of publications and/or scientific presentations in interdisciplinary contexts (desirable)
  • Experience in professional policy and professional association activities (desirable)
  • High level of commitment and motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with students
  • Excellent teamwork and organizational skills
  • Independence, reliability, creativity and a strong interest in scientific collaboration
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English; knowledge of additional foreign languages is desirable
  • Willingness to participate in the University’s continuing education programs
  • Very good IT skills and an interest in using digital tools for virtual teaching

Depending on relevant professional experience, qualifications, and previous achievements – especially in the field of psychotherapeutic work – there is a willingness to offer a salary above the minimum specified.

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70.200,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
