Job description

Edge computing is expected to play a pivotal role in the deployment of XR services, providing low latency access to computing resources for the purpose of real-time sensor fusion. In mission critical applications, such as emergency response, it is essential to ensure real-time situational awareness, which requires timely delivery and processing of heterogeneous information from various sources. The research will focus on the joint design and optimization of data delivery and information processing in a mobile network edge architecture, including aspects such as state management, orchestration, and spatio-temporal data processing.

The position is within the Vinnova funded Network-Enabled eXchange of critical information in Systems-of-Systems (NEXSoS) project and will involve tight cooperation with industrial partners (Ericsson, Combitech, RISE) besides excellent opportunities for problem driven fundamental research in cooperation with the TECoSA competence center at KTH.

  • Engaged and ambitious colleagues along with a creative, international and dynamic working environment
