The German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke (DIfE) is a member of the Leibniz Association. The institute’s mission is to conduct experimental and clinical research in the field of nutrition and health – with the aim of understanding the molecular basis of nutrition-dependent diseases – and of developing new strategies for treatment and prevention (https://www.dife.de/en/).
We invite applications for the Department of Decision Neuroscience and Nutrition, formed as part of a joint appointment with the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, for one position as
starting on September 1, 2025.
The general aim of the department is to understand the complex mechanisms of human decision-making (consumption, social, or economic). We investigate different strategies that modulate diverse decisions. These strategies and underlying mechanisms will be investigated in healthy and clinical populations (i.e., psychiatric or endocrine) both in experimental and cohort data. This highly interdisciplinary research requires a systematic combination of neural (fMRI, EEG, NIRS), physiological (SCR, HR, eye movements), and metabolic data (i.e., hormones and neurotransmitter precursors).
The advertised position is subject to the project approval and is limited to three years.
We look forward to welcoming a team player with high problem-solving skills, excellent achievements, and a high level of commitment.
Please send your documents (cover letter explaining your motivation, CV, copies of degrees / certificates, and references) with reference number 2025_W02_AP as a single PDF file before May 11, 2025, via e-mail to [email protected].
