The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is one of the major schools of public health in the Asia-Pacific region, committed to excellence in education and research in public health and primary care. It maintains strong international connections with schools of public health, government departments and centres of disease control in the Chinese mainland. Applicants should have (i) a Ph.D. degree in public health, behavioural health, primary care, health policy, preventive medicine or related disciplines; (ii) competitive track record of research achievements and publications; (iii) a good record of research funding support; and (iv) experience in teaching and student supervision. Collaborative experience and the ability in developing research in different regions will be advantageous.

The appointee will (a) undertake teaching and student supervision; (b) develop and participate in independent and/or collaborative research projects with universities worldwide and/or in the Asia-Pacific region; (c) assist in course development and coordination for undergraduate, postgraduate and ad-hoc training programmes; (d) assist in community service; and (e) undertake related administrative duties.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing as soon as possible, which, subject to performance and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
