Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences create a unique environment for multidisciplinary, inspirational and high-impact research and education. Our university community has its competitive edges in technology, health and society. https://www.tuni.fi/en

We are inviting applications for the position of professor or associate professor in health economics in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The position is located in the Unit of Health Sciences. Health economics is at the intersection of health and society. The most important interdisciplinary research themes at HES include the health care and social services systems; health and health promotion in children, the youth and families; as well as human ageing and the ageing population. There is good potential for research collaboration also beyond HES, e.g. with researchers in Economics at the Centre of Excellence in Tax Systems Research.

Health economics at Tampere University is taught within several degree programmes (Bachelor and Master Degree Programmes in Health Sciences, Licentiate in Medicine and Doctoral Education in Health Sciences). Health economics is also integrated into multiple study modules, including the international Public and Global Health Master´s Degree Programme and doctoral studies.
