How will you contribute?

You will work in the frame of the P-SCAN project and our industrial partner (PM-International AG). P-SCAN project aims on the development and testing of novel protein – fibre-based Pickering particles for the stabilisation of food colloids for the oral delivery of microalgal bioactives.

You will be in charge of:

  • Designing, developing, and characterising protein – fibre-based Pickering particles for stabilising micro- and nano-templates for the encapsulation of microalgal oils,
  • Assessing the colloidal stability of spray dried food powders conveying Pickering emulsions,
  •  Investigating the release properties, cellular uptake, and biological activity of the formulations under in vitro semi-dynamic digestion conditions,
  • Assisting in the preparation of project reports and presentations for the funding parties
  •  Managing project work packages under the supervision and mentorship of the PI
  • Contributing to the dissemination, valorisation, and transfer of RDI results (patents, prototypes, publications, technical reports, participation in conferences),
  • Assisting in the preparation of research proposals for internal or external funding.
  • Co-supervising junior research team members (e.g. MSc and PhD students),
