Background

In a collaborative project between the UCAM-SENS unit and the Multifunctional Molecular Material’s Group at University of Murcia (MMM), we aim to transform HealthCare, Sports, Environmental and Food Science by the development of analytical tools for the in situ and automatized monitoring of organic compounds of relevance.

The UCAM-SENS is a scientific unit that strives for the true digital transformation of key domains such as Health, Sport, Food, and the Environment by using advanced (bio)chemical sensing based on electrochemistry and imaging principles. The Multifunctional Molecular Materials Group at University of Murcia focuses on the design, synthesis, and study of organic molecules to be applied in organic electronics, supramolecular self-assembly and sensing.

The UCAM-SENS unit and MMM Group have merged their expertise in electrochemistry and analytical chemistry and organic electronics to build up a convergence project to investigate new monitoring actions in Sport and Healthcare settings.

The project will be held both at the HiTech (Health, Sport, and Innovation Hub) research building and UMU laboratories, in an international, multicultural and multidisciplinary environment where people, ideas, knowledge, and necessities meet together to pose and address new societal challenges.
