As one of the larger container transportation companies in Europe, we offer a wide range of multimodal container logistics services. We operate a diverse fleet of modern equipment, designed to transport various types of cargo by sea, rail, land and air. Our focus is on cost-efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly transport. Headquartered in the Netherlands, we meet the transport needs of our customers all over the world.

Samskip Multimodal is Europe’s largest multimodal and shortsea container operator. Our network spans all of Europe, Russia, Turkey and Central Asia. We offer pan-European combined transport services via shortsea, road, rail and inland waterway routes, both door-to-door and quay-to-quay. Dedicated teams, as well as a network of local offices and agents throughout Europe handle all of our services.

Our forwarding activities – Samskip Logistics – include reefer shipping, warehousing, cold storage and agency services. We bring fresh food to markets worldwide, backed by a group transporting 800,000 containers every year.

We currently employ around 1,500 people working in 24 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America.
