Euraxess research field: Electrical engineering
Expected skills:
Teaching profile:
Research profile:
The G2Elab laboratory is an internationally recognized research player in the field of electrical energy, developing research across the entire electrical energy value chain. Our research ranges from materials for electrical engineering, to large intelligent electrical systems, including innovative electromagnetic processes and devices, and efficient energy conversion. Our research focuses on both modeling and experimentation aspects with a scientific strategy that covers both upstream and downstream aspects of electrical engineering: understanding physical phenomena, modeling, design, prototyping, laboratory testing/experimentation up to in-situ validation. This synergy between digital approach and experimentation contributes greatly to the originality of the research and the notable scientific advances that have been made by the Laboratory. Thus, the G2Elab confirms its position as a pivotal laboratory in the field of energy where the electric vector is at the heart of the objectives of carbon neutrality.
In this context, G2Elab is looking for a researcher with a strong research background and high potential for scientific leadership.
Their research project will be supported by a funding of €200k from the French Research National Agency (ANR) and possibly a co-funding from UGA.
Scientific outreach, open science:
The expected outcomes involve scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences. In a field with a strong need for innovation, results may also be disseminated through patents or software tools that can be valued by the socio-economic community. Only results with the highest valorization potential will follow this path, while others will be shared as part of an open science approach.
The project is part of an open science approach to both research results and data. This approach is essential for a subject as important to society as the energy transition. It is a key element of the UGA LabEx on electrical energy. The aim is to collect, and openly share data and research results to facilitate the dissemination and replication of work. To achieve this, the successful candidate will be able to use the platform developed by the OTE project in conjunction with the resources of the GRICAD UAR and the GATES project funded by the national ExcellencES program. The results will be published on the open archive HAL.
