Context: ORAGE (Observatory_ Regional_ Affleurement= outcrops GEological) is a project of participatory research devoted to geological outcrops. The project is supported by OTELo and the laboratory GeoRessources. The aim is to save the scientific information related to outcrops that are ephemeral opportunities to discover the geological underground, below the soil and its vegetation with help of warnings coming from the general public. ORAGE exists already since 2014 and produced already a very significant set of data. These data are either original contributions that can be depicted as new descriptions of outcrops, or data of bibliographic origin. The web site (https://orage.univ-lorraine.fr/) has already produced more than 2000 references on regional geology with hundreds of available PDF files and has also provided georeferenced links that can be accessed through the web site of BRGM (French geological Survey) at http://infoterre.brgm.fr/viewer/MainTileForward.do . The present state of the website ORAGE has been the fruit of the work of some teachers -researchers helped by students. To bolster the development of ORAGE and accompany the rise of the participatory efficiency we make the present proposal that could give another dimension to the project.
