2 PhD positions at Institut de Neurosciences des Systèmes, Marseille – Organic electronic fabrication ; histological evaluation
The new Neuroengineering group, a part of the Institut de Neurosciences des Systèmes (UMR INSERM 1106) at Aix-Marseille Université is recruiting 2 PhD students (any nationality) to start from September 1st, 2017 (or from 1st November, 2017 at the latest)..
The principal investigator, Dr. Adam Williamson, was awarded the ERC Starting Grant, 2016, to prototype organic electronics in rodent disease models. The new technology is particularly relevant to both Epilepsy and Parkinson’s Disease.
The ideal candidate should possess either:
experience in organic electronic fabrication and haver a strong interest to participate in neuroscience,
experience in histological evaluation and a strong interest to utilize new implantable technologies.
The selected candidates will participate in the fabrication, implantation, and histological evaluation of state-of-the-art organic electronic implants in rodent disease models.
An employment contract of 3 years from Aix-Marseille University is offered. Salary : 1 768,55 € / month (gross) corresponding to 1 421,90 € / month (net).
